12 Months of Christmas and some other finishes...

I have been in a Stitch Along with Suzi from http://stitchscrapsew.blogspot.com.au/ and we have to do one project a month....I mentioned early that I fell a little behind and last week I have been stitching my little heart out trying to catch up..
I have already posted that I did a Table Topper from a Lynette Anderson book but did I mention that I did two...why you may ask, well one is for me and the other is for my Christmas Box...

I also did two little stockings from the same book...

The theme for one of the months was a Table Runner and yes you guessed it - I have done two...
The first one I have done to the colours suggested on the pattern - Ronald Reindeer is his name by the way...It was hard to get a photo of this Runner because it is 1.5m long..
I have only the top finished because as usual I am out of Pellon so will have to finish it when I go shopping next..

The second one I changed the colours as well as making it abit shorter.  Again this will have to be finished when I track down the pellon...

Now all I have to do is quilt that Tree Skirt and I will be up to date....I hope..
I have also been doing some other christmas sewing...I am working on the quilt - A Christmas Story by Anni Downs and I have finished the first four blocks....it is taking me ages because I am still practicing my needle turn applique. Sorry the photos are a little dark, it has been cloudy around here lately.
Block 1..

Block 2...

Block 3...

Block 4...

Ok last photo I have to blog about is a little card making project I finished yesterday...
Last week, Jo from http://scrapnstitch.blogspot.com.au/ advertised that she had some kits for card making available.. and I knew I just had to make one or two...This was a great project and very quick.
When the kit arrived it was already cut out with all the pieces ready and waiting to be assembled...
All I had to do was put it together...no wastage and no cutting...even the little ribbons were tied in bows, how easy is that....I may have to do more of these.  Here is a photo of one of them..isn't it cute...

Well thats all for now...I  hope to catch you all later....cya

A Day With Hudson...

Our grandson came over today for a sleep over...actually he is sound asleep as I type...and I hope to join him very soon..
We started our day of going to the Emmaus College Carnival, there we got to see lots of noisy rides and a few camels...yep you heard me...they had camel races today and Hudson just didn't know what to make of them...

Then we came home for a picnic in the backyard while we watched the chooks eat the bread we threw for them..
Hudson first had a cupcake..

Mmmm not to sure what to do with it....just licking my finger to see what it is...

Oh Now I get it....

And get it some more...

Then it was time for a bit of golf..
I will just move this ball while no one is watching...Check out my new gumboots...

Nana what big pumpkins you have...

The Lorikeets wanted a feed too...

Oops, sorry Nana, they don't bounce like the balls did...

Nana thinks I need to go to bed now...I have had my shower and I am suppose to be lying down...
Nana must be having a senior moment cause I am not tired...lol

If I give Nana a big kiss she might just let me stay up a little longer....

Night Nana...hehehehe

A Little Catchup Stitching...

I have been involved in a 12 Months of Christmas stitch along with Suzi from  http://stitchscrapsew.blogspot.com.au/ .
Each month we sew something to do with the months theme...I have gotten a little behind and promised Suzi I would catch up...somewhere along the way I even lost a month, don't know how that happened but I put it down to a Senior Moment...lol
I have finished two items so far...one of the themes was a square tablerunner...well you know me and I kinda can't handle being told what to do - I think my husband calls in being stubborn but that can't possibly be it...
I did a circular tablerunner - can you call it a tablerunner if it is round??? Maybe Table Topper..
Anyhow my project was from Lynette Andersons book - Stitch It For Christmas..and boy was there alot of work in it...

A little close up....

April's theme was a stocking and today I finished it - Yes I do realise it is May and not April but I am getting there.  This is another project from the same book as the Topper...

So that's is where I am up to...now I just have to quilt February's Tree Skirt and finish March's Tablerunner.   I plan on doing them next as they are already started just need finishing and then I can not only be up to date with the Stitch Along but I can cross them of my list.....
Catchya later all...

Happy Mother's Day - Lots of Photos...sorry

I have had a wonderful Mother's Day with lotsa love, food (ok maybe too much food), and pressies..
Last year I had a photo like this one done and so this year I thought - yep lets see if I can talk all the kids into doing another one...
This was the best photo (from heaps taken) but unfortunately my grandson was not in it...do you know how hard it is to get a one year old to lie on the floor with everyone else... He thought we had all gone nuts or we were at ground level to play...
This is a photo with him in it...but he seem to be more interested in his mother's chest than looking at the camera...oh and thanks Michael (my son-in-law) for taking this photo for me..

Poppy and myself feel that Hudson deserves a tickle.

And then some more tickles....hehehe

and then maybe some more ....
I did get a little sewing done this week...I have not had much time to blog due to me trying to organise some projects to get finished and taken off that stupid list.....
I had 24 items on my need to finish or already started list -  I pulled two apart....I know - don't say it - but I made my decision and these two were just not going to be finished for one reason or another...
Dont look any further if you can't handle it - it was a masacre...lol
Now you see it...

Now you don't...
I kept some bits for my scrap box...

Another one...remember, don't look if you can't handle it....

A pile of what once was a quilt top is now just scraps for the bin.....
There was one other quilt top but I didn't get a photo of it - I just bagged it and put it in the bin...
So that brought my stupid list down from 24 to 21...and I have started working on those 21 or at least some of them...will take some photos later in the week of what I have been working on and hence will hopefully take that list down a peg or two...fingers crossed...
Now I did mention that I have been doing a little sewing.   The Tuesday Girls are working on the Homespun Block of the Month - It's Time For Christmas and I have completed this months block..
Well thats it for now...hope everyone has had a great day...I have been stalking alot of blogs but have not left many replies because I am trying to stay focused on that stupid list.......lol
So just like to let everyone know that I have loved reading your blogs and I think everyone is doing some wonderful things...catchya later....
