Another set of draws...

Well I think I have enough draws now...I hope so anyway..
I came across a few problems with these draws that I didn't encounter with the other two...the draws were very tight...With the first two sets of draws I covered I was able to wrap the pretty paper around the whole box but with these draws that just made them too tight and I couldnt get them out..so these were mostly just decorated on the front...saved heaps of paper but I think I would have rathered the whole draw being covered...anyhow they look good anyway and I already have them mostly filled with dolly making bits and pieces...
I was looking for a way to be able to change the lables on the fronts (without purchasing more items) and found these small pegs in amongst my stash...so out they came..a quick lick of paint, and hey presto..changable tags...

I bought these little birds at the craft show last week...they  look soo cute..cya next time.

Scrapbooking and a little sewing...

Well I did it again...playing with papers and not fabric...I don't know what is happening to me..I hope its not contagious....as it seems I am not alone...
The Tuesday Girls were a little low in numbers last week so we kinda did a little playing at Helen's House...she was kind enough to show us her gadgets for scrapbooking and an album she had started
many years ago..I think she had completed 3 pages in the album...I think it should be added to her "TO DO LIST"..lol

This is what she said when I made the suggestion for the TO DO LIST....lol
I think this could be a NO...

Helen couldn't stay mad at us for long...she did mellow abit or should I say Marshmellowed...
Helen made these delicious bikkies for us to devour on Tuesday...they are a combination of chocolate wheaten biscuits, Raspberry jam and marshmellows...
Now marshmellows are great on their own but add these other ingredients and they taste heavenly..maybe, just maybe Helen should cook for us every Tuesday..what do you think girls?

I did get a little sewing done this week...I finished a little cushion by The Birdhouse...
Sorry the photo is darkish...

And here is what happens when you play with paper...my new advent calender....It is not finished yet,
I want to add more decorations to the middle and also make the tree a darker shade of red.  I won't be
doing this straight away though as I want to wait until I unpack my christmas decorations to see if I can steal something from there that will suit the middle..

I am going to finish this post off with a photo of my grandson...I was minding him for four days while his parents went away....this is what happens to a suburban kid when left with country loving
grandparents.....

He gets to meet the chooks and gets dressed up in country clothes....actually the overalls he is wearing below are the same ones his mother wore when she was his age...except I use to put a frilly white shirt underneath for her.  These overalls were worn by all my five kids and the teddybear that is heading my blog..I just could never bring myself to get rid of them...

One of my grandsons favourite things to do is play in the bath...I know I said one photo but I just couldnt decide on which one..this will be the absolute last....catchya all next time...

ok I lied...two more...cya

My Little Chef...and Crossing Over To The Dark Side.

I have been sooo slack with posting lately...need more hours in the day...why hasn't anyone invented that yet....I have been doing a little sewing and The Tuesday Girls have crossed over to the dark side for the moment..you see we have started Scrapbooking...yes you heard me correctly....I said Scrapbooking.  I think we have a problem with one addiction after another..and I need another hobby like a hole in the head...but it has been fun and I think we will dabble a bit more in the future.
We did the mistake of visiting a little scrapbooking store in our area...well it was like letting kids loose in a candy store.  The colours of all the pretty papers and the accessories and the stickers and the...and the..I better stop there - getting a little over excited..
Well we all came out a little poorer (some a lot poorer than others) but with some lovely bits and pieces...
Somewhere along the way we decided that we just had to have draws for our desks..and of course that is what started all this off..I think we should be going to C.A meetings (crafters annonymous) instead.
So over the past few weeks we have been tinkering with our draws...this is how mine looks.
I have filled all the draws already and now I am thinking I need more...C.A. here I come....

Here is the side view..

And the top view...

I did get a little sewing done...as hinted in my heading...I have made another doll..this time a boy doll..my very first boy doll...he kinda reminds me of my wonderful husband...with his mustache, and his blue eyes..sorry about the photo being a bit dark...

A close up of his face...

Anyway thats all for todays blog.. The Tuesday Girls are heading to the Brisbane Craft and Stitches Fair at Southbank on Thursday, so I am sure I will have plenty of goodies to put up afterwards..and for those who don't know...the Craft Fair is a place where alot of C.A (crafters annonymous) hang out...lol  cya
